How long is a trip?

Most of our short-term trips are between 1 and 2 weeks.

When are the trips?

We host teams all throughout the year. However, we ask that each trip is books 12 months in advance.

What types of groups work with Remember the Children?

Our most common groups are from churches and colleges.  However, we welcome all types of groups — from families, to organizations, to coworkers to communities. Gather your people and visit our ministries! 

What do you do?

Activities depend on the type of group and the time of year you serve.  In the summer, we typically teach Bible lessons to kids in the villages and our orphan homes. In the winter, we host Christmas parties for children. We also do a lot of training seminars and even some medical work depending on the expertise of our team members. If there is a specific project you're interested in, please let us know and we can customize a trip for your group.

I have a specific skill (dentist, doctor, carpenter, etc). How can I use it?

Please let us know your skillset, and we would love to help you use your talent to impact the people of Romania and Tanzania. We have worked with dentists, doctors, therapists, carpenters, and musicians in the past, and we currently have need for them in the communities where we serve.

Incredible things can happen when you take people out of their everyday lives and placed in new and vulnerable situations like leading people who don't speak the same language, it can serve as an opportunity for transformation and growth in their lives. I loved seeing the ladies I served alongside blossom and come alive in an amazing way. They were bold and excited even though they still felt nervous and unsure at times.

I also saw the power of prayer. Often times, I can fall in the category of "skeptic" when it comes to praying with boldness. The Lord challenged me to pray with boldness and expectancy. When I did, I was able to see some amazing things.

If you have ever thought of serving on a local or overseas trip I would highly recommend it. Just as the psalmist says, "taste and see," when you submit yourselves and serve the Lord, you will taste and see the Lord's goodness.
